Annually the ladies take part in the Annodata Matchplay competition, an event open to clubs in Scotland, England and Wales. It’s a knockout competition where 5 singles matches off handicap are played, and clubs are drawn either home or away.

Only 4 years ago, the team progressed to the finals in Spain and were the beaten finalists at Montecastillo Golf Resort, Spain.

Next March, remarkably, Glenbervie Ladies have the chance to go one better as the team of Linda Allan, Alison Goodwin, Lyn Fleming, Fiona Ross, Margaret Tough and Elizabeth Goodwin (Reserve and team captain) will represent Glenbervie GC at the final stages which are to be played at Montecastillo Golf Resort, Jerez, Spain 6-10th March 2023.

Over this season, the above ladies, along with Jennie Allan, Susan Hagan, and Lynne More have knocked out 6 clubs along the way to reach the Grand finals:

Round 2 4-1 win against Clober GC at home.
Round 3 2.5-2.5 with Falkirk Tryst away, Glenbervie won the playoff.
Round 4 5-0 win against Merchants of Edinburgh GC at home.
Round 5 3.5-1.5 win against Kirriemuir GC at home.
Round 6 3-2 win against Douglas Park GC away.
Round 7 2.5-2.5 with Cleckheaton GC at home, Glenbervie won the playoff.
