In an unusual end to the Annual STAGS Captain v Vice Captain match at the club, the nearest the pin prize on the 9th/18th was decided by the final group.
The Captain teed off first and missed the green. The 3 others in the group not only hit the green, but filled the first three places for the nearest the pin prize.
John Homes (right) was 3rd at 7' 4", Vice-Captain Peter Holden (left) was 2nd at 6' 8", and the winner, Ivan Green, was at 6'4".
They completed a double hat-trick by all holing out for 2's.
It's hard enough catching the green, never mind getting close to the pin, but for 3 of the group to get 2's is remarkable.
