Captain's Cheltenham Gold Cup Day Tournament.
Are you ready for an exciting week of horse racing? Cheltenham Week is upon us, and we couldn't be more excited to watch all the action live in the Clubhouse from Tuesday 14th March - Friday 17th March.
We are pleased to invite you to join us for some thrilling horse racing as we will be showing the full coverage in the clubhouse.
Our Sandwell Arch Lager will be on offer at just £2.50 a pint from 1pm until 5 pm Tuesday - Friday! So, you can rest assured that you'll be enjoying some great beer while indulging in the excitement of Cheltenham.
We are also running a Gold Cup Day competition hosted by our Captain. to take part simply purchase a £2 "betting slip" from the bar, choose one horse for each of the 5 televised races on Friday 17th March and all that's left to do is cheer them on! All proceeds from the competition will be going to the Captain's Project.
There will be a scoring system in place based on the horses finishing position. All points from your 5 horses will be added up and the member with the most points will win the pot! The Cheltenham Gold Cup will be worth DOUBLE points so choose carefully in this race. Non-Runners can be swapped for another horse up until 12pm on the day, any Non-Runners after this point will just count as 0 points. The Points will be:
1st - 20 Points
2nd - 15 Points
3rd - 10 Points
4th - 8 Points
5th - 6 Points
6th - 3 Points
Rules for the competition are:
- £2 Entry Fee.
- £1 Goes to Captain's Project, £1 to the Prize Pot.
- Prize money to be placed on Members Card
- Enter as many times as you want.
- Competition entry closes at 10am on Friday 17th March, slips MUST be handed into the bar by this point.
- Non-Runners can be replaced up until 12pm on Friday 17th March.
- Double points for the Gold Cup.
- Points will be added up and the winner announced shortly after the final race.
- Any ties, the prize money will be shared equally.
