At Forres Golf Club we believe in the R&A definition of golf course sustainability, optimising the playing quality of our golf course in harmony with the conservation of its surrounding natural environment under economically sound and socially responsible management.

We recently received a Sustainability Acceleration Grant from Scottish Golf, and we are looking forward to taking the next steps in our sustainability journey. One of the first steps on our journey is to understand the biodiversity around our golf course by identifying the various habitats and species present on our golf course.
With a green keeping team with over a combined 60 years’ experience on the golf course we have a great knowledge of what is present, but we wanted to ask our community if there were any rare or interesting habitats or species, they had witnessed when playing at Forres Golf Club.
