• Fairway mats will be in use. Mats must be used for all shots played from fairway areas of the golf course. Alternatively players will have the option of moving the ball to the semi rough where they may play from the turf. Should you wish to purchase a fairway mat for the winter period they are available to buy from the golf shop.
• A frost policy will be introduced to decide the playing conditions of the golf course. Should we experience a white frost in the morning the pins will be moved on to the temporary greens. In the case of ice or snow the golf course will be deemed unplayable and will be closed. It is the decision of the green keeping team what the playing conditions will be on any given day. To decide the course playing conditions a course inspection will take place at first daylight and should the pins have to be moved to the temporary greens or the course is closed a second course inspection will take place at 11:00 to review the conditions. On competition days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sundays) the course conditions set at first daylight will remain in place for the remainder of the day.
• Traffic control measures have been put in place across the golf course to reduce pressure on areas which are recovering from a busy summer season. Please try and avoid walking on these areas where possible. The roped off areas on the golf course are there to advise you areas which require recovery and may be slippy, not to step over.
