The plastic track used for the replacement of power line poles and Ash felling work in the past two weeks will be lifted from the 2nd Fairway today as they work back towards the clubhouse. We made great use of this track with our own dumper truck, transporting nearly 500 tonnes of our own recycled material to build the two new teeing areas. Ditch clearing, path renovating and drainage works over the past three years has generated around 2000 tonnes of soil, sand, clay and other aggregate waste that we retain on site for use in development projects like new and extended tees. Not only does this recycling make it financially possible to make these improvements, but it is much more environmentally sound to recycle and repurpose than to remove and buy new.
