Longest Day Challenge
Thursday 20th June
Stoke by Nayland Golf Club Members, Sean Condon, Nick Godfrey, Guy Pearcy, Stuart Mosley, Ray Rowley and Matt Brown are raising money for Prostate Cancer UK on Thursday 20th June 2024, by taking part in the Big Golf Race 2024 and attempting to play four rounds of golf (72 holes) in one day, covering approx. 26 miles. Prostate Cancer affects 1 in 8 males in the UK, that’s thousands of dads, grandads, brothers, husbands, partners, sons, uncles and nephews but it doesn’t have to be that way. Prostate Cancer UK helps to fund lifesaving research to find better test to diagnose men sooner. Speaking before the big day, the team said, “This is a great cause and a charity well worth supporting for all that they do for men all over the UK. Earlier diagnosis for Prostate Cancer can make a huge difference and we are committed to completing the challenge and raising as much money for this important issue. Hopefully, other members feel the same and will support us!”. The team are teeing off at 4.30am and playing the Constable then Gainsborough courses alternatively twice, with short breaks.
