Non-Handicap Cup
Golf Development Group
After 6 lessons on the New to Golf scheme, players enter the club's Golf Development Group for 2 years. Over the weekend, 2nd year GDG players competed in the non-handicap cup - their first competition since joining the club. Players started on the 1st tee with 60 shots and the aim was to see who could play furthest around the course.
The winner was Kate Avery who putted out on the 7th hole with shots to spare on her nearest rival, Gillian Collins. Well done to Kate and Gillian and to the other 3 competitors.

Over this summer, the eight 2nd year members in the GDG (6 ladies and 2 men) will now focus on obtaining a handicap and integrating into a section - indeed, the Lady Captain has already invited the 6 ladies from the GDG into the section WhatsApp group.
