Greenskeeper Safety on Course
Recently, there have been some incidents when members of the Greenskeepers team have been struck by golf balls while working on the course. Fortunately, so far no one has been badly hurt.

The safety of our staff is paramount and it is absolutely necessary for them to be working on the course while golfers are playing.

If a member of staff is working on the hole you are playing, DO NOT play your shot until EITHER they have moved away, OR have acknowledged they have seen you and can move to the side or position themselves to take evasive action if necessary.

Please shout "FORE!" loudly if the ball is accidentally heading in the direction of anyone else: staff, players, spectators or walkers. It's a matter of golfing etiquette, as well as general decency. It was good to hear the Juniors shouting plenty of warnings on Monday evening during their team match.

We would appreciate everyone’s cooperation in this matter to ensure the safety of our staff. Thank you.
