Inappropriate behaviour
The club has recently had to deal with a case of inappropriate behaviour from a club member towards a staff member. The matter has been dealt with, however we want to take the opportunity to ensure that members are clear about the club’s position on such matters.
The club has a zero tolerance of conduct towards or between members, employees or visitors that involves abuse, lack of respect, or harassment, sexual or otherwise. Defending such behaviours as “ banter” or “ humour” is unacceptable.
All staff have been reminded that they are not expected to tolerate this kind of behaviour, and they should refer all matters to the General Manager. The same applies to members who either witness or experience inappropriate behaviour.
