Darby Family win the Day
Bank holiday Monday saw a full field turnout for the annual DinaMac Trophy.
With the weather Gods behaving the 18 teams began their quest for victory with a 2pm shotgun start. Once again the course was in excellent condition thanks to our brilliant Course Manger & his team and as the scores started to trickle in around 6pm things were looking close at the top. With 3 scores on Nett 54 the minor placings were decided on countback but just pipping everyone by one shot with a Nett 53 was the Darby family, Owen, Archie, Arthur and Sully. After a short speech from Patrick Greaney the presentation was made in front of a full house of participants and their guests and that was followed by a lovely acceptance speech from Owen and another short speech from our President Howard Thornton.
Those staying after the game were treated to an excellent Fish & Chip supper, thank you to Simon and his team for a lovely meal.
