Club Captaincy 2026/2027
New Process & How To Apply
The Board is proposing a change in the selection process for the Club Captain role. Going forward, we are looking to appoint a Vice-Captain for the 25/26 season who will then naturally progress to become the Club Captain for the 26/27 season.

With this in mind, we are now inviting applications for this position. If you are interested in taking on this important leadership role, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role:
The Club Captain plays a critical role in creating a positive and dynamic environment for members. They should consistently demonstrate the values of the club and encourage both members and visitors to adhere to these values. The Club Captain also serves as a key point of contact for the playing membership and working closely with the board and sub-groups.

How to Apply:
Please express your interest by sending an email to clubmanager@fuflordheathgolfclub.co.uk with a brief message outlining your reasons for applying and any relevant experience.

Application Deadline:
All applications must be submitted by **Friday, 27th September**.

Selection Process:
The Board will review all applications to assess suitability for the position. This consideration will include the quality of the application, the member’s history with the club, and their dedication to the club. A panel comprising of individuals not necessarily limited to Board Members will be convened to conduct short face-to-face interviews or similar, which will assist in the final selection process. Candidates will then be proposed for the position based on their ability to demonstrate their suitability to meet the required skillset, which can be found by the link at the bottom of this news section.

Once the panel has made its selection, the Board will approve the candidate/s. The successful candidate/s will be personally notified, and the candidate/s will be announced to the Past Captains. Finally at the AGM, the proposed candidate/s will be presented, and members subsequently vote to appoint one as the Vice Captain.

We look forward to hearing from those who are eager to contribute to the club's continued success!

Best regards,
Doug Cormack
Chairman
