The players and caddies joined us for breakfast before the matches went out to play, the Captain warmly welcomed the competitors and congratulated them all on reaching the finals of their respective competitions acknowledging the hard work that goes in to get this far in the tournament and that unfortunately half the players would leave disappointed today.
The weather was cool, slightly overcast with a light breeze and those that played in the Medal on Saturday knew the course was in great condition and were looking forward to their matches. After a quick loosen up on the practice range our competitors headed out onto the course, Brian and the team had presented the course to the high standards that we expect with the greens running quick and true. Our finalists stepped up to the challenge and we were given an exhibition of great golf with holes being traded from the outset.
Congratulations to our winners and we look forward to seeing you at Prize Giving:
Alan Craig and Gordon Mair who are the winners of the Gailes Links Summer Fourball Trophy
Alan McKinlay who won the Gailes Links Secretary's Cup
