Ipswich Juniors become Golf Sixes 2024 County Cham
Juniors success
The GolfSixes League, featuring teams of six in a Texas Scramble format, saw our junior team excel this season. Competing in the East Suffolk League against Felixstowe, St. Audrey's, and Seckford, they clinched five event wins, securing a spot in the County Final.
Hosted at Ipswich Golf Club on October 20th, the final was a challenging affair, with high winds and showers. Our juniors faced tough competition from Bury St. Edmunds, Halesworth, and Bungay & Waveney Valley.
In a remarkable display, Ipswich emerged victorious, winning by nine strokes and taking home gold medals and the Winners Trophy. Bury St. Edmunds earned the silver medal.
