Where to start???

The fabulous singing of the Budleigh Salterton Male Voice Choir (including some enthusiastic and tuneful audience participation), thanks to Richard Gerry for organising this.

Claire Dowling’s outstanding speech about her incredible life in golf - she had the audience in the palm of her hand, transfixed, hearing about her Curtis Cup exploits ( selected four times and once as non playing captain) and her refereeing as well as being one of the first 14 ladies invited to join the R&A. It really was exceptional, and delivered so professionally - pure class! You could have heard a pin drop.

Lastly, the normally shy and retiring Paul Baker’s hilarious but effective auctioning which raised thousands for Seachange. Thanks to those who donated the prizes.

Captain Bill thanked everyone for their support and said how optimistic he is about the future of EDGC.

A lively evening that was thoroughly enjoyed by the 90 members that attended it. Thanks to Dani and her team for first class food and service.
