White Out of Bounds posts

White Out of Bound posts are boundary objects and these are deemed fixed even though you could easily move them.

If your ball is in bounds and a white stake interferes with your lie or your intended stance or swing, there is no relief and you are not allowed to move the stake.

However, if you remove a stake to facilitate your next shot but realise your error before playing your shot and replace the stake where it was before your shot, there would be no penalty shot (Rule 8.1c – ‘restoring conditions’).
