Golf Nines win the day at Rookery Park.
Winning Pair Harrison Young and Lennon Punter
Ten of our junior players entered the golf nines competition playing in matches against Bungay,Dunston, Halesworth,and the home team at Rookery .
Great golf was played by everyone with the bonus of Gilly Woolnough’s drive on the ninth hole winning nearest the pin. Well done Gilly, a superb shot that both Stu and I witnessed!
The winning pair of the match, with the amazing score of 27 points, was Harrison Young and Lennon Punter. A great team effort, with both enjoying birdies!
In second place, with 22 points, were Theo Craft and Harry Page . Well done boys, you played brilliantly together!
Gorleston’s other pairings of Gilly Woolnough with Ben Dale,who was participating in his first competition, achieved 20 points. Noah Richardson, partnered with Max Farman, also came in with a superb 20 points.
Herbie Shaw-Clutten and Harley Clements gained 18 points. All our boys were in the top tier of players, and thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Congratulations to you all. Once again our golf nine team rose to the occasion by playing fabulous golf for Gorleston.
