Dear fellow golfers, as we all know the 6th fairway has a lot of surface water on the right-hand side at the dog leg. This is not draining as quickly as normal and initial thoughts are that a tree root may have caused a drain to collapse.
Until we can investigate and resolve the issue, the tees (Blue, Yellow & Red) will be temporary moved forward to the left-hand side of the dog leg. Access to the temporary tees should be made via the pathway on the left-hand side of the fairway.
The stroke index and par of the hole will remain unchanged, however any medal played until the tee is back to the original location will be classified as a non-counter towards handicap adjustments.
This temporary arrangement will come into force on Monday 11th November.
At this moment in time, we are unable to provide timescales but will keep everyone up to date as work progresses
