Centenary Update

Dear Members,
CENTENARY FUND UPDATE OCTOBER 2024
Just a note to let you know where we currently are with the fundraising for our Centenary in 2026.
As you are aware we formed a small Centenary Committee to organise events throughout the last few years to accumulate income towards our Centenary Fund with an initial target in mind of £10K.
We are pleased to inform you that as of the 31st of October 2024 the fund is now sitting at £7,730.54! This amount has been achieved by a lot of hard work form the Centenary Committee and members and staff at Hayston Golf Club pulling together as a team.
The fund has been boosted in 2024 by various activities viz., Easter Raffle (Guess the Eggs) Donations from Winter leagues, Donations from members, great Cabaret evening with Retro & a Centenary Medal Scramble at the end of October. I cannot thank everyone highly enough for their fantastic efforts in making all of the above a success. I would also like to thank the members for attending the events and supporting our vision of making our Centenary Year something special.
Next years events kick of with a Race Night on Saturday 29th March 2025 and I hope this is really supported by the members & their guests and this could see us break through our initial target early in the year.
The Centenary Committee will be drawing some ideas together to formulate a plan for the actual Centenary Year (2026) and if any members have any suggestions please forward them to us for consideration (gm@haystongolf.co.uk)
Finally, as we head towards the festive season, we wish all members a Merry Xmas and a prosperous New Year.
