Night Golf

On Thursday night we had our Night Golf Competition. A huge thanks goes to Les and his team for setting up with all the marker lights and to the GM for all his work in, not only the set-up, but the organisation of the comp and final oop!

The 3rd Runway

Also many thanks to the Newsroom’s Correspondent for Social Activities for this article and pics:

A huge thank you to all the members who, despite the horrendous traffic in the area, turned up to play Night Golf. It was, and I know I'm slightly biased, a great evening, with lots of laughter, shouts of fore, and, quite a few new faces on show.

There's nothing quite like seeing your luminous ball heading in a straight line, towards an anonymous target, somewhere in the cold, dark, distance. It was great fun.
Special thanks must go to Les and his team for setting the course up with all the luminous lighting, showing us the way, thank you; and to the GM for dealing with the late withdrawals, and the continuous re-jigging of the groupings.
If you didn't make it this year, I'm fairly certain we'll do it again in 2025. Thanks for coming.
Gary Norman - Member for Social Activities.

Sunday Roll-up

Eighteen players took part in yesterday’s roll-up and the honours went to Stuart Rollings with 40 points, winning on count back from Andrew Willson. 18 coming back for Stuart, 17 for Andrew. In third place with 38 points was David Ford.

Congratulations Stuart and many thanks for taking on the organisation of the Seniors (TRGC Stages) matches nest year!

…and finally

Out after roll-up yesterday were The Cap n Pro, pitted against the Newsroom and Special Correspondent for Social. A nail biting and colourfully languaged match (mostly Newsroom) never had more than one hole it and was all square in from 15. A 12 ft putt from “The best putter in the club” on 18 left MfS a three footer to secure the half
Close - but no cigar!

That’s All Folks…
