What's been happening
Dear member
Another busy week golf wise, the dry and sometimes warm November weather has elongated the golfing season....Which is very welcome following the dismal September we endured.
Our Seniors Scratch team had a very good victory against the Bedfordshire this week. Playing at home, our guys used home advantage to defeat a very strong Bedfordshire team winning 4 - 1. Well played guys.
The team on the course have had another busy week, more work has been carried out on the tees, the 18th has been levelled and seeded, hence the black covers which assist with winter seed germination. Please keep off this area!
The whole course is in fine shape, I have received so many compliments this week from both members and visitors. So as usual, my thanks to the team on the course for all thier hard work.
PRO SHOP NEWS
The YONEX demo day was successful. Members had the opportunity to have a swing with both irons and woods and we placed several orders off the back of the day.
Members looking for great quality but reasonably priced equipment should consider having a look at the YONEX range. Matt is trained to carry out custom fitting on the YONEX range so ask in the shop if you're interested.
Members will start to see more Titleist and Footjoy products in the shop from early 2025 onward. We will be stocking Foot-Joy shoes alongside a cut down Under Armour range. A better selection of Foot-Joy gloves, Foot-Joy clothing and during Spring we will also have a demo range of Titleist clubs available for members to try, with custom fitting available in the swing shed.
BAR & KITCHEN
Bookings continue to come in from our swindle groups looking to play some golf and have a Christmas meal following play. The Christmas carvery on December 15th is also proving popular. Thanks to all those that have booked with us.
