Winter League 4 results

Well half way into the winter league now and I am really hopeful we will get most of the rounds in before the turn of the new year. As I type this up I am looking at all the snow outside so this weekend could be our first competiton lost, but we will see.
Winning this week with the highest score so far in the winter league with 45 points is Dave Edwards & Dave Sherwin, or some may say, Double D.
2rd went to Rob Barrett & Vinay Adatia on card play off with 45 also
3rd with 44pts is Mr President & Resident Geeza.
There was a few moans about the competiton being a qualifier. May I remind people that the guidance has changed massively now for winter golf. We may not always get the decision right, but based on the week being mostly dry upto Saturday, once the decision has been made, it is what it is. If anyone requires more information about the new rules/guidance then our handicap sec, Paul Price is more than happy to explain. Despite some people not agreeing with it, the scoring was still very high so we cannot be that far away.
I would also like to remind people that both myself and Paul are trying to play our own golf within the competiton and also enjoy our weekend too. At the end of the day we are trying to do what is right and only our best. If you feel that strongly about these things please feel free to write into the committee.
One more thing, there is a whatsaap group set up which details the competiton format the day before the competiton. Not all playing members numbers are on the system. For anyone not in the group, drop me a message on 07814298615 and I will add you to the group.
Turkey Trot this coming Sunday, prizes paid in vouchers for Cheerbrook farm as usual. Little earlier this year in the hope that winners may be able to use them for Christmas this year.
