So here’s what’s been going on…
January Mid-week Stableford
On Wednesday, we had the midweek stableford, played on frost greens so therefore non-qualifying. In tricky conditions hole 6 played the easiest with a 0.74 over par average. Hole 10 played hardest at 1.66 over.
The podium finishers all came in with 37 points, so had to be separated on countback. In third place was Cees Kramer from Jamie Terry in runners-up slot.
Congratulations to that master of the fairways, Mark Stocker, who also took best gross with a 78
Saturday Mixed Fourball
The last few days have seen beautiful cold clear crisp days and many thanks to Kirsty McDonald for these pics
Not to be deterred by the cold, 28 pairs took to the course for this fun event with woolly hats and thermals the order of the day. And whilst mentioning not being deterred…
…it could only be John Barron!
On to the results and in third place, and the best mixed pair, were Stephen and Philippa Nunn.
Second place went to Steve Dickens and Guy Thefaut
Congratulations to winners Gary (Top Gun) Burns and Ed McCaw
The next mixed fourball is on 1st March and booking is now open on the App, CV1 and Howdidido
Sunday Roll-up
Fourteen hardy souls joined the ice golf roll-up this morning, all starting off with hot home made sausage rolls courtesy of Jan Oliver! Just perfect on such a cold & frosty morning. Not a 2 in sight but scoring still good, with David Hardman in third on 36 points.
Roll-up organiser Kara Catt came in second with 37 beaten into gold medal slot by Pascal Huser
23 points on the back 9 - congrats Pascal (spend it wisely!)
Thanks to Peter Stocks for this pic from this morning and to John Barron for our feature shot.
Contributions always welcome - WhatsApp them in on 07768 108855 probs easiest
