As many of you may already know, our long standing member Frank Smith sadly passed away recently. Please see below his Obituary with details of his funeral and wake on Friday 31st January 2025.
Obituary - Frank Smith
11th September 1934 – 26th December 2024
It is with deep regret and sadness that I must inform you of the death of Frank Smith who passed away on Thursday 26th December 2024 age 90 years.
Frank joined Maxstoke Park in October 1966. Frank was a prominent golfing and social member throughout his many years at Maxstoke Park and was a past Captain in 1990.
Frank founded the ‘Frank Smith Trophy’ which is still played to this day against the Forest of Arden, keeping both clubs together.
Frank recently celebrated his 90th birthday at Maxstoke and had a wonderful day.
We are sure Frank would love to see all his many golf friends over the years celebrate his life. Our thoughts are with family and friends at this sad time.
Funeral Details:
The Funeral will be held at Canley Crematorium, Coventry, CV4 7DF
at 10.30am on Friday 31st January 2025.
All Friends & Members are very welcome. Please let the office or bar know as soon as possible if you will be attending for catering purposes. Frank’s wake will be held at Maxstoke Park Golf Club from 12:00 mid-day.
