A total of 36 pairs played in the penultimate Sunday Morning Shotgun start competition of the season yesterday morning. The greensomes stableford format was played in dry, but cold conditions, and Tim Herbert & Richard de Figueiredo successfully defended the trophy with an excellent 45 stableford points. This included an amazing 24 points on the back nine - equating to level par gross.
However, a back nine countback was required to separate the top two teams, with John Hughes and Mark Warren, narrowly missing out on the top spot by two points.
In third place with 42 points, was Andy Barker & Lee Camfield with the final prize winners, in fourth, with 41 points was Wayne Gallichan & Robin Troy.
