Preferred Lies
Removal of ‘In the general area’
Committees have a responsibility to return the course to normal as soon as conditions allow.
With this in mind, as of the opening of play on Monday 24th March, ‘preferred lies in the general area’ will be removed and replaced with ‘preferred lies on the fairway or areas of the course cut to fairway height or less’.
Preferring your lie:
Once only
6” from the reference point (ie.Original position of the ball)
No nearer the hole and
Must be in the general area.
