Mixed Spring Triads

The first mixed event of the season took place on Sunday 23rd March which was the Mixed Spring Triads, teams of three with best two to count played over the green course.
Seven teams took to the fairways where after some initial mutterings about the weather the rain stopped and all was fine for the rest of the round.
The winners with 77 points were Fraser Williamson, Mike Grove and Shirley Morris with second place going to Rich Curnock, Elaine Baird and Sarah Moore with 72 points on countback from Geoff Insall, Ian Baird and Margaret Roberts.
There were birdies for Rich Curnock on 1st and 2nd and Elaine Baird on 16th, a sleeve of balls for each birdie.
27 diners then sat down to enjoy a splendid roast dinner provided by Donna and her team.
