G4L Rodway Hill vs Tewkesbury Park – 22nd March
Our first G4L match of the season took place last Saturday with an away fixture at Tewkesbury Park. We were fortunate to have good weather and a course that was generally in good condition. However, the recent hollow-tining and sanding of the greens made putting particularly challenging.
Tewkesbury Park, the reigning champions, fielded a very strong team, with several players outperforming their handicaps by 5–10 shots. Unsurprisingly, this resulted in a decisive victory for them.
Despite the tough competition, there was a standout performance for Rodway. Rob Hamilton and Ryan Bevan delivered an exceptional display, securing the team’s only win of the day with a well-fought two-hole victory.
The next match is away to Cleeve on Saturday 6th April.
