Captain’s Quiz Night

First of all, thank you to all our members and guests that came to support yesterday evening. I think we can all agree, we had a superb night. Although I would note, I’ve been suitable chastised for the difficulty of some of the questions, haha.

With the quiz and raffle, over £600 was taken. Every penny going to our charity this year, Little Cloud. Mrs Captain and I appreciate all the support and the love that came through last night.

I also want to extend our thanks to John O'Neill and the staff for their efforts. Behind the bar, setting up the equipment and building the new furniture, boosting our capacity in the clubhouse. Which was invaluable last night. And an extra mention to our Vice Captain, Jon Moore and Mrs Davies (wife of a new member) for their help with driving fundraising.

Thank you all once again, and I look forward to seeing you at another quiz, later in the year. Our next event will be a bingo night, on Friday 16th May, where my compere skills will be stretched even further. Notices and posters will be going up soon.
