Return of The Spires
Today, Thursday 10th April, we are opening 9 holes of pitch and putt on The Spires Course!
The holes vary in length from 60 to 135 yards so a great alternative for practicing your approach shots with some new views to enjoy.
We are calling it pitch and putt rather than a “Par-3” course for a good reason – the greens are more like temporary greens with 6” hole cups rather than the carpets you are all used to!
We believe we will fill a long-standing gap in the local golf market following the disappearance of nearly all local pitch and putt facilities that many of us enjoyed when we were kids. No pressure, limited cost, and cheap hire of equipment. Happy days! It’s great for adults and kids to try out the game without being consigned to a driving range bay or struggling on a proper golf course which can take away from everyone’s enjoyment of the game.
It also provides a fun group activity for families and other groups to enjoy.
**Extend Your Membership Benefits**
As with the footgolf and disc golf on The Harcourt Course, we are extending the discount available to all members for everyone they are playing with on The Spires Course (the same is already available on the Harcourt Course).
To make this more accessible for members and easier for our team, we invite all members to let us know if they want to be part of the “Members’ Harcourt and Spires Club” at no cost. We will then set you up as a member on the Harcourt and Spires booking system and issue you with a unique 8-digit code which you can use to book online and get your 15% discount on booking.
As we have a lot of new staff, we will ask members to identify themselves and produce their member card when they check in, so the member benefit is not abused by non-members.
**Free Personal Use for Full Members**
In addition to the above benefit, all full members (5-day and 7-day) will be allowed to make use of the pitch and putt course as an extension of the practice facilities, but you will not be able to book this in advance and it will be subject to availability. We also ask that the sequence of holes be respected so not to cause confusion or frustration to our paying customers or other members. If you want to do this during clubhouse opening hours (7am to 8pm), please check in at reception before heading out.
