Donald wins Vets Trophy Round 1
Caskie canes the Competition !
Congratulations to Donald Caskie on winning Round 1 of the Veterans Trophy yesterday with an impressive 42 points (24/18), doing all his best work on the front where he scored 24 points. Donald won by two points from Ali Hutson (18/22) and Harburn Masters Green Jacket winner Stewart McKay (19/21) who both scored 40 points. Well done to all 29 players for taking part in the opening round of the season long competition.
A special mention goes to Karl Conway who gave it his best in trying to achieve 2's at all the par 3''s. Karl achieved a hat trick of birdies at the 3rd, 5th and 13th holes which is an incredible achievement. Wonder what he would have given for Willie Cruickshanks 2 at the 15th !
