Upcoming Carriageway works A51 Tarvin Road
A51 Road Closures
Dear members,
The club have received the following email from the council informing us of major road works taking place outside the club on the A51. We do not have much detail at the moment but please be prepared for delays during these periods.
We are writing to inform you we will be carrying out carriageway surface preparation works on A51 Tarvin Road from The Nurseries to the junction with Cotton Lane.
The works will commence on Thursday 24th April 2025 and will continue until Wednesday 11th June 2025, There will be a combination of night time (19:00hrs until 06:00hrs) and day time closures between 08:00hrs & 17:00hrs. These closures have been planned to limit the impact on the local area.
Signed diversion routes will be place throughout but pedestrian access to properties will be maintained at all times when the full road closure is in place. Thursday 24th April until Tuesday 29th April 2025 A full road closure will be in operation during the hours of 19:00 and 06:00, excluding the weekend.
Thursday 15th May 2025 A full road closure will be in operation during the hours of 19:00 and 06:00, for the removal of road studs (cat eyes).
Friday 30th May and Saturday 31st May 2025 A full road closure will be in operation during the hours of 08:00 until 17:00, for the first application of the surface treatment.
Tuesday 3rd June and Wednesday 4th June 2025 A full road closure will be in operation during the hours of 08:00 until 17:00, for the second application of the surface treatment. Tuesday 10th June and Wednesday 11th June 2025 A full road closure will be in operation during the hours of 19:00 and 06:00, for the reinstatement of road markings and road studs (cats eyes). Residents will not need to take any specific precautions as signed diversion routes will be in place.
Access to properties will be maintained where possible but there may be a short delay to make sure the working area is safe to enter. Please ensure all vehicles are removed from the pathways. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
