MACHINE BACK TO NORMAL
The way of inputting score cards into the PSI computer will be back to the normal way this week.
With the hotel computer often taking an age to enter scores on Saturday and Sunday there was a trial on Monday that saw eight people successfully put in the scores via their phone through the Howdidido app.
This necessitated a slightly different way of signing in onto the hotel tablet but some 44 of the 49 players managed it successfully.
Feedback will be taken to decide if it is something we want to do again in the future.
DOUG GRAVE MEMORIAL
The Doug Grave Memorial will be on Bank Holiday Monday May 5 and is a drawn competition closing at 4pm Saturday May 3.
The winners will also win a slot in Woodhall Spa’s President’s Day playing off no more than 18.4.
On the previous Saturday there is a members AM AM which is being run by committee member Glenn Miller.
PRESIDENT’S DAY
Steve Wymer holds his President’s Day on Saturday May 24. It will be a qualifying event off Yellow tees and there will be a special prize for the golfer with the best retro outfit. Favourite at this stage is a certain club treasurer.
PLAYING HANDICAP
To avoid confusion a PLAYING HANDICAP is simply Course handicap x playing allowance and only used for competitions.
So if a player plays off 18.7, they go to the board ands get their course handicap, which is 20 off whites, and then play off 95%, of it so their playing handicap is 19. In club competitions the computer will work it out for you. Allowances differ for different formats of competitions.

You should notice that Fixtures and Club News are being added to the Howdidido app, which like this Facebook page will be used to better inform members.
