Men’s Midweek Stableford

A proper weekly round-up today as we go back to last Wednesday and the Men’s Stableford.



Victorious Jamie Terry came in with 41 points, three clear of silver medalist and club dandy, Tony Venn. Robin McNabb was third.



Best gross was carded by Simon Kimble with a 77

The 8th hole played the easiest, at 0.92 over par, and the 3rd made an appearance as hardest, at 1.76 over.

Captain’s Charity Day

Captain Ron Lay had clearly had a word with the weather Gods as luck was on his side and the day shone bright.

Chosen charity this year is Momentum, as ever a very worthy cause.

Yellow Ball Competition

Bank Holiday Monday saw the now regular fun event, Yellow ball comp, played in somewhat cooler conditions than we have seen over the past couple of weeks

Masks Trophy

The annual match between The Club and The Stage committees for the much coveted Masks Trophy took place yesterday afternoon, with five games played in the very best of golfing spirit. Having won the trophy back last year The Club were once again victorious running way with a 4-1 win.



The match was followed by a jovial curry supper then a few more libations in the front bar
