Updates with regards to Course and Clubhouse
Please forgive the length of this email. There are several items of information I would like to convey to you in one message, rather than sending out several independent messages. Each has it's own importance and I urge you read all 4 sections. Thank you.
St Andrews Hospice Charity Day, this weekend
This weekend, on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th May, our competition golf raises funds for the St Andrews Hospice, a charity which our club supports frequently, including this annual event.
Note that the entry for this mixed competition is £10 per player, which is a donation and raises significant amounts for the Hospice. When signing in, it would be preferred if you could pay in cash, rather than by card. Thank you.
There are prizes available, of £50, £30 and £20 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively. We hope you enjoy a fine round of golf while contributing to St Andrews Hospice.
Sunday 11th May Junior Golf Sixes
Please be aware that we are hosting a Golf Sixes competition for our younger Juniors this Sunday afternoon, starting at 15:00. Be advised that play following this may be slower than usual, to allow the youngsters to learn and play the game. On behalf of our younger players, thank you for your support and patience.
Thursday 15th May
The Rotary Golf Day (09:30-11:06) is followed immediately by a Seniors Team match, so booking is only available up to 09:22, then from 12:02 onwards on this busy day.
Friday 16th May Shotgun Start
Please be advised that the tee times for Friday 16th May will be unavailable for booking until 13:30 as we have 72 visitors taking part in an outing with a 'shotgun' start. The Main Lounge will also be extremely busy from around 13:30 as the players come in for lunch.
In addition, we have the privilege of hosting the funeral reception for Betty Kennedy in the Member's Lounge which means the lounge will be unavailable from 13:00. Members are asked to use the Guest Lounge (aka Dirty Bar) during this time and gents should use the toilets along the corridor from the swing room, rather than disturb the funeral party.
We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation in these circumstances.
