Donald Cameron League - Match Report
Douglas Park GC v Glasgow GC
The Donald Cameron League season started with a home match against the holders of the 2024 season Glasgow GC.
Chris McManus,who recently rejoined the Club,led the team and was matched against a former DP member Clark Nelson.Clark won their tie 3&2
Alastair Thomson had a quality match against Neil Macrae but unfortunately lost on the last Green.
Our team captain,Matthew Anderson,defeated another former DP member Angus Watson,
David McColl and Andrew Abercrombie suffered home defeats followed by two excellent home wins for Michael Giovannetti and Jonathan Irving.
With one match still to finish Douglas Park we’re losing 4 to 3 with the result hinging on the final tie between Adam MacLeod and Cameron Burns .This tie went down the 18th with Cameron securing the overall win for Glasgow GC.
The team are next at home to Windyhill.
