Competition information, Mystery 2's and More
Latest Information
Dear Member,

Please find below important information from the Handicap & Competitions Committee:

The Club Championship (Charter Cup) will be played on Sunday 29th June 2025.

The Charter Cup is a scratch competition played over two rounds. The Lee Park Champion Golfer 2025 will be the player who shoots the lowest combined gross score over the two rounds.

Entry to the Charter Cup competition is restricted to those members with a handicap index of 7.9. Members who have an index higher than 7.9 may qualify to play in the Charter Cup by shooting 78 gross or less in either round of The Founders Competition which will be held over the next two Sundays.

Competition Days:

Please note that it a competition requirement to ‘Sign In’ on the computer BEFORE playing your competition round. If you are found to have signed in after playing you will be disqualified. Having insufficient funds on your Gold Card is not an excuse for not signing in! Accounts can be topped up on V1 prior to arrival or in person at the Club.

It is a competition requirement to enter your score on the touchscreen after playing your competition round. If you do not enter your score without good reason, you will not be allowed to play in any Club Competition the following week.

The reserved tees for Sunday Competitions are for playing the competition of the day only. It is not permitted to play social golf or knockout match play in the competition reserved tee times.

The Sunday Competition does not end when the reserved tee times finish. You may play your Sunday Competition at any time on a Sunday providing you sign in and have a marker to record your score. Please note that if you do play after the reserved times end, you do not have priority on the course.

Slow play is still an issue. It is very rare that all four players in any group are guilty of slow play. If you notice that your group is losing ground please do not be embarrassed to point this out to your playing partners and hurry them along a little.
Advice for speeding up play was circulated last week on Club news in V1 and by email.

We recently told you that we would be issuing a short survey by email. This has not been possible and instead we will be attaching a short paper based survey to your scorecards.

Please help us to give you what you want by completing this survey and putting your completed questionnaires into the score card box in the spike bar. We will update you once the results have been collated.

As ever, if you have any comments, questions or complaints we can be reached at: handicapandcomp@leeparkgolfclub.co.uk

Best wishes
