Men's Glover Cup Results
127 men played in the Glover Cup over the weekend. Congratulations to Max Burton for winning the competition with a score of +7, on countback from Jamie Horncastle and Alex Hilditch, who were second and third respectively. Jason Wickham came fourth with +5. The full results, and the latest Hollymead Cup standings, are attached with today's latest news email.

Men's County Results
Scratch Team - Our men's Scratch Team played at home on Saturday against Royal Eastbourne in the third round of the County Scratch Trophy. I'm pleased to say we won 7-5! We now progress through to the quarter-finals and have been drawn to play Littlehampton Golf Club. This match will be played at a neutral venue which is yet to be announced. It will be played on Saturday 14th June. Congratulations to the team!
Handicap Team - Our men's Handicap Team played away on Saturday against Lewes Golf Club in the first round of the County Handicap Plate competition. I'm pleased to say we won 3.5 - 1.5, a great win at a tough away venue. We have been drawn to play away at West Hove in the second round which will take place on Saturday 14th June. Congratulations to the team!
Cyril Blake Team - Our men's Cyril Blake Team played away at Cottesmore yesterday in the third round of the Cyril Blake County Seniors knockout competition. Unfortunately, the home advantage was too much for us and the team lost 4.5 - 0.5. Thank you to all those that played this year and the Kevin Holton for Captaining the team. We go again next year!
Ladies County Championships
7 Bognor Regis Ladies played in the Sussex Ladies County Championships which took place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at West Sussex Golf Club. They were Chloe Briance, Heather Tidy, Katie Field, Suzanne Taylor, Sian Southerton, Bridget Samuels and Caroline Pilbeam. Katie Field, Chloe Briance and Heather Tidy finished in the top 16 after the 36 holes on the Friday, and progressed through to the knockout stages over the weekend.
In the round of 16, Chloe Briance played Maisie Hassall and won her match on the 20th hole. Heather Tidy played Georgia Young and also won her match on the 20th hole, thanks to an eagle! Katie Field beat Paul Carver 3 & 2 to setup an all-Bognor tie in the quarter-finals against Heather Tidy.
Chloe Briance played Katherine Russell in the quarter-finals and unfortunately lost 4 & 3. Katie and Heather's match was a mammoth one, with Katie winning on the 22nd hole. Katie progressed through to the semi-finals on Sunday morning but unfortunately lost to Amelia McGinty 5 & 4.
Well done to the ladies for some great golf!
