Championship Weekend Notes

Ahead of Championship Weekend this weekend, below are some notes for all competitors to be aware of.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is not looking great, however the forecast service we use has improved slightly over the last couple of days. Whilst we don't anticipate there being enough rainfall to make the greens unplayable, and the chance of thunderstorms is low, I've attached with today's latest news email some notes on the procedures to follow if either of these scenarios occur. Please can all competitors familiarise themselves with these notes prior to play.

Please can all competitors ensure they have enough money on their swipe cards to cover the entry fee payment when signing in at the Pro Shop tomorrow morning. Don't forget, although the payment is taken tomorrow, you still need to sign in on the PSi machine in the Pro Shop on Sunday morning. Saturday cards are ready for players to collect from the Pro Shop on sign-in.

We still have the dropping zones in place on the 2nd hole if you are in the GUR areas. Attached with today's latest news email are the notes we sent out previously about this.

We still have the temporary local rule in place providing relief from all drainage lines, whether sunken on repaired. This is also attached with today's latest news email.

Attached with today's latest news email is a copy of the notes explaining the red line on the 3rd hole ditch.

Seniors Poston Greensomes Results

28 pairs played in the Seniors Poston Greensomes on Wednesday. Congratulations to Peter Buckland and Mark Jordan for winning the competition with 44 points. David Turner and David Leach came second with 43 points on countback from Chris Hickling and Richard Barnett. Sean Francis and Julian Staddon came fourth with 42 points.
