WHS - software issue
World Handicap System (WHS)
Over the weekend, 13-16 June 2025, the WHS/England Golf(EG) platform experienced a significant software issue. This affected all scores uploaded onto the WHS platform during that period and associated Handicap Index (HI) adjustments. It affected YGC in that the Course & Slope Ratings for all our Tee sets was incorrect.
Follow up conversations with WHS/EG representatives further exposed / highlighted this error. Their overarching software company, Dot Golf International, are working on restoring the appropriate CR & SR. No timeline has been given but until this is completed from Wednesday 18th June no competition or general play scores will be uploaded to the WHS platform.
Although there will be slight variations of HIs, Club Systems Competition functionality is not affected, so the club will run today’s (17th June) Mid-Week Stableford as acceptable for handicap purposes and also the Ladies Medal on 19th and 20th June.
We have been assured that once the error has been corrected a retrospective update will be applied to all scores submitted. The club will check that this has occurred.
