The Wellow Golf Club Junior Championship unfolded over one of the hottest weekends of the year, drawing a talented field of boys and girls aged 9 to 17. With both the Junior Champion and Handicap titles on the line, the competition delivered two thrilling days of golf.

The Junior Champion title came down to the wire, with Tiago Fernandes sinking a clutch putt on the 36th hole to edge out Henry Atkinson by a single shot. Tiago posted rounds of 71 and 73 for a total of 144, narrowly beating Henry’s 73 and 72 for a total of 145 — congratulations to Tiago (both players carding the lowest gross scores across all sections)

The Handicap title was dominated by the junior girls this year. Jess Clark delivered two outstanding rounds to secure the title, with Lilly Harris finishing close behind in a strong runner-up performance.

Junior Captain, Farren Porter, competing in the men’s championship for the first time finished runner-up — narrowly missing out on becoming Club Champion by just one shot.
