Ladies 3rd in Inter Club Shield
Great effort at retaining the Trophy
On Weds 9th July, West Cornwall Ladies travelled to the Point at Polzeath to play in the Inter Club Shield County Team Event. All clubs in Cornwall sent a 4 lady team, totalling 78 players.
First players home- were Donna Gibson- nett 78 and Chris Matthew’s- nett 77. Next in was Kim Pellow with a nett- 74.
Having won the shield last year with a total of 216 points (the best 3 players out of 4) we were hopeful to retain the trophy.
Gill Prodger- who was the last of the team to return, couldn’t better the earlier 3 scores, and with a total of 219- our West Cornwall Team came 3rd overall!
A fantastic result on a very hot day on a tricky course.
