Seniors Captain's Day Results, Seniors Invitation, Ladies Results, Quiz Night
Seniors Captain's Day Report
92 jolly gentlemen took part in the celebration of Bob Crichton’s captaincy this Wednesday on a lovely day, with the course in prime condition. With a nod to his Scottish roots Bob and Karen, assisted by Jayne Barrett, greeted players with a sausage bite and a “wee dram” served from the gazebo to lubricate the arms and, hopefully, facilitate the perfect swing.
This was much-approved by everyone and some excellent scores were achieved. Once back on the Terrace the players were treated to a fine barbecue which was really enjoyed with a glass or two!! Great work by Simon and his team, plus the usual efficient service from our girls.
Before presenting the prizes Bob recounted stories of his sporting heritage which included showing good skills in many sports from an early age and were the strong basis for his career as a PE teacher for forty years. Karen introduced him to golf when he retired and together, they now run the BRGC Mixed Events, improving immensely over the years. Brilliant Club Members.
The winner of the Captain’s Prize was Rob Jackson with 43 points and Runner-up was Steve King with 42.
A really super dooper day to remember and well-done Captain Bob for leading us so well though the year.

Seniors Invitation - 21st August
Senior Gentlemen’s Invitation 2025
The Bognor Regis Golf Club Senior Gentlemen’s Invitation will be taking place on Thursday 21st August. This is an ideal day to bring along a chum from another Club to enjoy both the course and the superb catering and bon homie of our wonderful Club.
The cost is £70 for each pair which includes a full English Breakfast, a Shotgun start off the Yellow Tees and a fantastic Carvery in the afternoon.
There is room on the day for a few more pairs with one pair especially needed to replace a jolly member who is now having a new knee operation just before the big day.
If you think you would like to join the 30 pairs already entered the do not hesitate to contact either myself or the Office to book your place.
It will certainly be a super dooper day to enjoy and remember with pleasure.

Ladies Results
Lady Captain’s Day 4BBB competition
Well done to Chris Puddicombe and Lynda Searle, who had a magnificent 48 points on Lady Captain’s Day. Second was Rita West & Denise Rattray with 47 points, third was Sheila Hendrick & Kay Dady with 46 points and fourth was Helen Chalmers & Sue Doughty with 45 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Sophie James (Hole 15), Sue Doughty (Hole 10) and Jenny Phillmore (Hole 5).
Quiz Night - 16th August
The next Quiz Night is taking place on Saturday 16th August. Full information is on the attached poster. Please add your name to the sign up sheet in the Spike Bar if you would like to attend.
