The final was played on Friday 1st August in the late afternoon with the team of Joe Ellis and Peter Williams up against David Morgan & Craig Smith. Craig didn't quite set the tone for the first hole - managing to put his second shot out of bounds behind the practice putting green! Fortunately Dave recovered from his drive finding the sand to halve the hole.
Peter decided that the second hole was going to be his to "own" taking his sand wedge in the left fairway bunker and attempting to excavate most of the playable sand. After his 7th bunker scoop he admitted defeat and picked up his ball!
The competition continued in earnest but in fine spirits and there was some good golf played by all, however after making good use of their shot allowances on the 14th, the match was finally won on the 15th (4&3) by Joe Ellis & Peter Williams.
