Greens renovation
26th-28th August.
As part of our regular annual maintenance program we will be undertaking work on the greens. This work is essential for the long-term health of our greens. The work will take place between Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th August.

The greens renovation work will take 2 to 3 mornings and continue to focus on thatch control, surface improvement and increasing bent grass population. Agronomy test results of our greens have indicated there is no need to hollow core which will reduce the disruption during the period.

The plan this year is to deep scarify using the koro machine at a depth of 15-20mm. We will follow this with a sorrel roller to create a seed bed for the bent grasses.

The next step is to overseed then sand dress the greens. Dressing will be heavier than usual so sand may hang around on the surface a little longer than usual if damp but will disappear in a few days.

Depending on timing and weather we may have the opportunity to micro tine as well.

Fertilizer and irrigation will also be applied to aid the recovery process and return the surface back to normal within a few days. Surfaces will be playable each day and we aim to complete these processes with as little interruption to play as possible.

Thank you in advance for your support with the continued improvement to your course and we will update date you if plans change as this can be affected by weather and other issues out of our control.
