Captain Jonny Walker has hosted his Captain's Prize over the last two weekends followed by a dinner on Saturday evening. Some 90 members supported the Captain and challenged for the prize over two medal rounds with tough pin positions and the course set as long as it could be.
The winner of the first round was Ian Clark who shot an impressive 62 net and was 5 clear of Steve McDermott in second place. The pressure was on for the leading contenders in the last group to hold their nerve on the second Saturday. The winner on the day was Dan Leigh with a 68 net winning a card play off from the Peter Pan of AOMGC, Pete Hamlett.
Ian Clark kept his nerve on a tough day and hit a 73 net which combined with the first round score was enough to win the Captain's Prize 2025 ahead of Neil Sarjantson & Billy Rock Snape.
