Royal Jersey Juniors beat Royal Guernsey

Played at Royal Jersey Golf Club on 6th August the home club’s juniors beat Royal Guernsey by 5 games to nil in the annual fixture.
Played off handicap the format was 4 ball better ball. Most of the Royal Guernsey team had lower handicaps which meant the Royal Jersey team used their handicaps and home advantage, to secure the win.
The Royal Jersey pairs were:
Aiden Wilson and Jack Gallon were first off and won 6 and 5;
William Aikenhead and Oliver Smith won 2 up;
William Stratford and Henry Milan won 1 up;
Oliver Brown and Jack Burchell won 1 up; and
Oliver Bourke and Will Marshall won 2 up.
There were some really close and hard fought matches played in good spirit. Perhaps the most unfortunate player was Ollie Farmer from Guernsey who had a hole in one on the 8th and an eagle on the 14th, but ended up losing his match.
