Late night news from East Kilbride at the LGA Match Play Championships!

In an incredible Youth Final we eventually got a winner just before dark, when Joseph Kelly (Cambuslang) beat Calum Watson (Airdrie) at the 21st hole.??

In an incredible final Joseph raced into a 2 hole lead after 4 holes, before Calum chipped away at Joseph's lead before taking the lead for the first time at the 13th.

The lead then changed hands another couple of times before Joseph won the 18th to take the match into sudden death.

Both players shaved the hole on the 19th for birdies and Joseph missed from 7 feet for birdie on the 20th.

Joseph eventually won at the 21st with a solid par 3 after Calum slightly pulled his tee shot and was left with an extremely difficult chip.

Well played to both lads and we wish Joseph all the best as he departs to start college life in the USA next week.??

It was Calum's last LGA event as he turns pro next year when he completes his college degree.

Calum was going for the Youth "double", having won the stroke play championship previously, but it wasn't to be.
