Heath & Safety incident on the course this morning
Player reminder to ensure course safety is always a priority
Dear Members
Just to advise we had a serious Health & Safety incident this morning where one of our members fell using the "banking" path from the 4th tee down to the front of the 3rd green and as a result broke a leg.
Our thoughts are with our injured member and playing partners who were also visibly shaken by the incident.
Can I say a huge thanks to Stuart our Professional and the staff at the Crown for their swift action getting foil blankets to the scene for our member until the Ambulance crews arrived.
We are indebted to the local Ambulance crews who responded to the incident in quick time to get our member more comfortable before making the trip to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
As a result, short term, the path will be "cordoned off" until we are able to restore the area back as part of the natural banking, thereafter removing the path from use going forward.
We ask all players to be mindful of the route taken to the 3rd green from the 4th tee using the main path at all times.
Your safety is paramount.
We wish our member a speedy recovery.

Brian
