Chris Jones Memorial Trophy
A fabulous day with over £4,500 raised for LNAA
The annual Memorial Golf Day was played recently at Stoke Rochford Golf Club, this annual event, now in its 13th year saw 158 members and guests play the course which was in brilliant condition, weather conditions were also very good to us. The halfway house was manned throughout the day by the Jones family and friends. First drinks being served at approximately 7.30am and the house closed at 7pm, a long day but such fun.
The usual over 480 sausage rolls consumed, washed down with liquid refreshments courtesy of team Jones and all the lovely ladies who made the beautiful cakes.
It is so nice to see a lot of Chris's old friends from all aspects of his short life, his school friends, cricket mates, the guys he played rugby with at Kesteven, the football friends and not forgetting the golfing circle, the family are grateful for their support each year.
The charity we support each year is the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance and we have raised this year just over £4500, so thank you everyone for your generous donations
Our thanks go to Stoke Rochford Management Board for their continued support each year on this day, to the green staff for their hard work on the course, to Cris , Lis and all their staff who looked after us all so well with the catering and the bar and also to the Pro Shop - JB, Matt and Hannah who helped collate cards and kept us organised.
